[Back]                                     Troubleshooting an RF subsystem Problem

The Troubleshooting Process:                                                          [See Flowchart] of this process.

  1. You will first print out the required data sheet. Each data sheet will require you to make a few measurements with the oscilloscope.
  2.  In the Step-by-Step mode, The RF Flowcharts will appear in a particular sequence. Use the hyperlink test points and equipment setup they provide. Complete the measurements on each data sheet as required.
  3. Indicate on each data sheet if the measurements you've taken have PASSED or FAILED
  4. Upon completion of all the steps, a quick analysis of them should point you to the particular section that  is causing your failure. It is important that you complete the required data sheets to correctly troubleshoot the RF Subsystem.

With this process flow, you will have isolated your problem to one third (1/3) of the RF subsystem. You can then concentrate your efforts to resolve the problem quickly and with a higher confidence in the parts you need to order, or a better understanding of the procedure you may need to perform.

Each flowchart will also offer a limited number of possible resolutions.
