  1. Fill in the Blue boxes.
  2. The Green box should be filled out with the number of times the particular question was missed.
  3. Once you have the total number of "hits" per question, then use the mouse to highlight (select) cells surrounded by the red box.
  4. Once highlighted, select Data from the tools menu and "Sort Descending". This will SORT the questions and organize the columns so you can see clearly, which questions have missed the most. This is the FIRST STEP in understanding WHAT material needs the most training attention first.

SUMMARY Worksheet:

The summary worksheet is designed to allow you to understand how your Zone/LCT training is progressing as compared to other Zone/LCT's.This is valuable information for Service Engineering. This allows us to forecast trends in documentation deficiencies, and helps us improve the documentation by the feedback you provide.

TRACKER Worksheet:

The Tracker worksheet allows you to see the status of the Baseline questionnaires. This would include how many have been returned complete from your Zone/LCT by Fiscal Weeks. This is an important step in maintaining your momentum. It is in the Zone Support Engineer's best interest to get a 100% response rate from each Baseline effort. There is a direct relationship between a high rate of completion in your Zone/LCT and your ability to efficiently target training to those that need it most within your Zone/LCT. Recommendation: Issue Questionaire 1 week prior to training

QUESTIONNAIRE Worksheet:

The Questionnaire worksheet should be filled out by cutting and pasting from the current baseline questionnaire you are using at the moment. The intent is to give you a reference linking your data clearly to the baseline questionnaire you are using at the moment. The purpose of the baseline is two-fold:

  1. It provides the ZSE with an understanding of the skill level of each FE within the Zone/LCT, by limiting the guessing, (I don't Know Field) you get a fairly accurate picture of training weaknesses.
  2. It also provides you, and Service Engineering with a broad understanding of the deficiencies in the Field Documentation itself.
This clarifies WHATwe BOTH need to concentrate on fixing FIRST.
It allows both the ZSE and Service Engineering to maximize resources to improve the baseline skill level of ALL FE's and increase the quality of the Field documentation as well. The Questionnaire has been designed to address business objectives.
Each question is Linked to a necessary competency. DO NOT CHANGE OR ADD any questions. Doing so will destroy the overall ability for Field Wide measurements. The questionnaire has 8 unique sort fields in addition to the questions themselves:

1. NAME, 2. EMPLOYEE NUMBER, 3. PRIMARY SUPPORT FUNCTION, 4. ZONE, 5. DATE,

6. SERVICE EXPERIENCE, 7. QUESTIONNAIRE ID, 8. QUESTIONNAIRE NUMBER.

These are intended to allow you to slice the data in ways that may reveal even more efficient ways to execute your Field Based Training initiative.
