An electrical arc generated by an electrical device near the MR system can cause Corduroy or Spike Noise artifact to appear in the images.

Any defective board in the TPS chassis could cause the VME bus to hang, and the Octane Computer will fail to boot up normally.

3.

A simple Ping test can Isolate problems with the fiber optic Bit 3 communication link between the Host computer and the TPS chassis.

You are troubleshooting a Body SNR problem. Swapping the head and body preamp does not result in better Body SNR your next step would be to replace the IPG board.

The Customer shows you an EPI sequence of scans that appear to have slice to slice intensity variation. The 3 main causes of this could be: Poor short term eddy current compensation or Incorrect values for psdRFWait and psdGradWait or a Shorted RF shield.

Essentially, there is no functional difference between an IPG1 (Integrated Pulse Generator 1) board and an IPG2 board.

A consistent error message indicating that the TPS/IPG is not responding is most likely a bad IPG board.

You are troubleshooting Data Acquisition errors. Your error log analysis indicates the system experienced a few SPI Diagnostic failures this week during the PM's and a few T/R drive faults during normal scanning times. The problem is most likely the IPG board.

During EPI sequences there seems to be an increase in variation in intensity from slice to slice This could be caused by Auto Prescan variation.

The TPS won't boot up. You have the following error code and its brief description in the error log: Error EC2222135 "TPS IPG Board Power Up Error: Interprocessor Test --\n\ failed to get flag from CPU\ ". This error indicates the IPG board is bad.
