Question
1.
You are troubleshooting Data Acquisition errors. Your error log analysis indicates the system experienced a few SPI Diagnostic failures this week during the PM's and a few T/R drive faults during normal scanning times. The problem is most likely the IPG board.
2.
You Customer is complaining of persistent problems in Head Mode. The error seen says "Signal Too small to process". This could be a worn connector on the Quick Disconnect box and indicate that it should be replaced.
3.
A T/R driver error will cause a Hard Down situation. The system will NOT scan in ANY mode (Head, Body Surface and Multicoil mode), until the problem is fixed
4.
Autoprescan fails to start when using Multicoil, and the error log indicates a Multicoil T/R driver Fault on Port 1. The problem could be a poor connection at the Head T/R assembly.
5.
The error log states that the Transmit Gain (TG) level is too high and the system stops scanning. This could be due to recent service on the RF amplifier related to checking Maximum power.
6.
The Power spectrum appears to be unstable. It seems to be varying in size at the same TG and Center Frequency. This problem is a bad X I/0 module in the Octane Computer.
7.
Over the last few months the frequency of the error "Autoprescan is failing with a Signal too small to process" error, but does not indicate that the problem is a data acquisition error. The error is appearing on random patients and also across different phantoms and coil configurations. A correct starting point would be to check the shim.
8.
The Customer is complaining of excessive Image ghosting after a MiniGram replacement. One of the problems could be DC offset is out of spec.
9.
You must setup the Center Frequency before attempting scan or you may see an error that indicates that the signa is Too small to process.
10.
Autorescan failed. Manual prescan shows a flat line or the absence of a power spectrum. This is a problem with the TPS CPU board and it should be replaced.
