PROBLEM:

HTML (Hyperlink Text Markup Language) has a limitation which does not allow for dynamic changing of the drive letter when hyperlinks address an external drive or partitions assigned a letter other than the letter D. In addition, Windows O/S has no user level utility to re-assign drive letters.* See the instructions below to fix the document with the broken links.

SOLUTION:

To resolve this problem:

All files mentioned above must be manually edited to reflect the drive letter of choice. The user must have HTML writing and editing experience to do this. Use Ms Word, Notepad or a HTML editor and change all references to the "D" drive in the documents indicated, to the drive letter assigned to your CDROM device. It should take less than 10 minutes to change all these files.

* There are third party utilities that can be purchased that will allow the user to re-map drive and partition letters such as, Symantec,Inc.  DriveQuest, Inc.  You may want to investigate this possibility.
